The Diploma of Community Services provides you with specialised skills and knowledge for managerial roles within the community and lead strategies to assists individuals in meeting their immediate needs.

Your training will have a focus on: 

  • Developing communication strategies to build relationships
  • Managing workplace health and safety
  • Analysing sociological impacts on the community
  • Working effectively in trauma informed care
  • Supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Provide case management supervision

Graduates of this nationally accredited Diploma can move into roles where they provide a managerial role and develop strategical practices to support community needs.

  • Remote learning and assessment (evening Zoom sessions)
  • Self-paced, online learning and assessment / project work
  • Part time – 59 weeks
  • 100 hours of work placement must be completed in order to achieve the Diploma

There are no prerequisites for this course.

All students will engage in a language, literacy, numeracy and digital literacy (LLND) activity to evaluate potential support requirements.

The Diploma of Community Services consists of 16 units:

  • 8 core units
  • 8 electives
